Altar Team
Altar Team members assist with the preparation and serving of communion during the Sunday worship services monthly or at other special services throughout the year. They also may be called on to change the paraments to align with the liturgical season or special occasion. Ed Kenimer is the Team Leader.
Connect Team
Connect Team members warmly meet and greet people as they enter the Sanctuary for worship, assist them by providing information, introducing them to other church members, give a gift bag to first time visitors, and often receive the offering. Jason Green is the Team Leader.
Coffee/Donut Team
The Coffee/Donut Team welcomes people to the Fellowship Hall prior to the 9:00 Worship Service and 10:00 Sunday School sessions with a good cup of coffee or tea and a variety of donuts. They aim to serve excellent products with quality and care, making everyone feel at home.
Media Team
The Media Team is a ministry group responsible for ensuring that worship, messages, and church activities are communicated effectively—both in person and online. Their work supports the church’s mission by enhancing the worship experience, reaching a wider audience, and fostering community connection. Stan Self coordinates the media team.
Prayer Ministry Teams
Prayer Ministers are trained to serve in altar prayer, prophetic ministry, intercessory prayer and in-depth healing prayer. Sandy Blount leads the prayer teams.
Teaching Team
The Teaching Team is made up of men and women who have a heart for teaching God's Word — whether in Bible studies, Sunday school classes, or other church-offered sessions. Some serve regularly; others step in as substitutes or on an as-needed basis. Having a dedicated group of willing teachers ensures that no class is ever left without solid leadership. Bailey Mitchell, our Discipleship Leader, oversees this team and keeps the roster up to date.
Worship Team
The Worship Team is a group of dedicated musicians and singers whose mission is to simply glorify God through music and lead the St. James congregation into His presence in worship. Bryan Shaw, Music Minister, leads the team and oversees all aspects of the worship ministry.
